Naturally we could ramble on all day about why theCloud is the perfect solution, but to keep things simple here is a list of the top ten reasons we think you'll agree with:
One: theCloud is 100% Kiwi, New Zealand owned and operated.
Two: Your data will never leave the sovereign borders of New Zealand, so intellectual property law and other scary stuff remains very much New Zealand centric, all the time.
Three: Scalability and flexibility are default features of services in theCloud, we build oversize platforms so that you get to benefit from our economy of scale whilst only buying the capacity you need.
Four: You can reduce the cost of IT administration because the hardware is being taken care of for you, off-premises. Taking advantage of resources in theCloud allows you to decrease your costs for building and expanding local infrastructure and support teams.
Five: Security is taken very seriously with access to all cloud services strictly controlled. Unlike new platform deployments in your own IT infrastructure, when you use cloud services the security aspects are already taken care of.
Six:64bit Platforms. You no longer need to deal with legacy hardware that may not be 64bit compliant, all cloud services are based on 64bit platforms.
Seven:Limited risk. The minimum term is one month, so you can try new things, deploy concept applications and then tear them down before the end of the month so that your billing stops.
Eight:Very little to no downtime. Cloud computing has removed the need for organisations to run expensive and time consuming back-up processes, onsite and offsite storage facilities for the backed-up data. If a storage server in theCloud fails due to hardware or software issues, we shift the load over to other servers or bring up a backup server in its place.
Nine:Cloud agnostic. Basically this means that we use industry standard technologies so you're not locked in, should you wish to move your services to another Cloud Provider it won't be a nightmare.
Ten: Easy access because we're online 24x7 and your ADSL connection to your office might not be. All you need to access theCloud platform is an active internet connection. This can be really useful for business people who need access to files or software when outside the office.
